In diesem Workshop erforscht Danilo Jovanović gemeinsam mit den Teilnehmenden die Themen queere Liebe, Romantik, Sex und den Einfluss von Drogen. Der Prozess ist geleitet von Jovanović‘ Open Soul Methode.
Die Open Soul Methode basiert auf Authentizität, Exposure, Verletzlichkeit, Transparenz und Neugier. Dabei steht eher das Geschichtenerzählen und Performen und weniger das Schauspielen im Vordergrund. Im Mittelpunkt der Methode steht die Idee, dass die Bühne allen gehört. Diese Methode nimmt persönliche Geschichten, Erfahrungen und Erinnerungen der Teilnehmer*innen als Ausgangspunkt der kreativen Erforschung. Dabei wird keine Geschichte oder Perspektive als mehr oder weniger wichtig bewertet; alles, was im Proberaum existiert, besitzt ein kreatives Potenzial.
Der Workshop richtet sich an queere Personen und ist Teil des Arbeitsstipendium-Projekts “I have to tell you something, once again!” gefördert von der Stadt Wien Kultur.
Die Arbeitssprache ist Englisch.
Danilo Jovanović ist Physical Theater Regisseur aus Ex-Jugoslawien und künstlerischer Leiter der Physical Theater Company Side Effect. Seit 2019 lebt und arbeitet er in Wien. Seine künstlerische Produktion verbindet Bewegung mit Geschichtenerzählen und er liebt den theatralen Prozess und die ständige Suche nach neuen Wegen, Geschichten zu erzählen. Das Leben selbst in eine theatrale Sprache zu übersetzen, ist für Danilo das Spannendste. Er sieht das Theater als einen Ort kollektiven Handelns und eine Plattform für den Austausch von Wissen und Erfahrung, insbesondere für diejenigen, die weniger Zugang zu Ressourcen haben.
In this Workshop Danilo Jovanović together with the partipants explores the themes of queer love, romance, sex, and the influence of drugs. Jovanović' own Open Soul Method guides through the process.
The Open Soul Method is based on authenticity, exposure, vulnerability, transparency, and curiosity. The focus is on storytelling and performing rather than acting. At the heart of the method is the idea that the stage belongs to everyone. This method takes the personal stories, experiences and memories of the workshop participants as the starting point for creative exploration. No story or perspective is valued as more or less important; everything that exists in the rehearsal room has creative potential.
The workshop is primarily designed for queer people. The working language is English.
Danilo Jovanović is a physical theatre director from ex-Yugoslavia and artistic director of the physical theatre company Side Effect. He has lived and worked in Vienna since 2019. His artistic production combines movement with storytelling and he loves the theatrical process and the constant search for new ways to tell stories. Translating life itself into a theatrical language is the most exciting thing for Danilo. He sees theatre as a place of collective action and a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, especially for those who have less access to resources.
