Filmfestival - Programmreihe Exploring Realities
Das Tricky Women/Tricky Realities Filmfestival präsentiert Animationsfilme, die von Frauen oder genderqueeren Personen gemacht wurden. Die Filme in der Programmreihe Exploring Realities nutzen die Werkzeuge der Animation, um Risse und Leerstellen in der Geschichte zu bezeugen und zu belegen, um sich an Geschichten zu erinnern, die in Vergessenheit geraten sind, und um herrschende Erzählungen in Frage zu stellen. Vor allem sind sie ein Spiegel und fordern auf, zu sehen, zu hinterfragen, zu bezeugen und zu erinnern.
Die Filme werden in ihren Originalfassungen mit englischen Untertiteln und teilweise in Anwesenheit der Filmemacher*innen gezeigt.
