Die Lampe ist die einzige Lichtquelle im Raum. Sie bewegt sich, richtet ihren Blick in verschiedene Richtungen und verhält sich wie ein neugieriges Wesen, das seine Umgebung und damit auch das Publikum mit seinem Licht abtastet. Der Performer selbst erkundet mit seinen Händen die klanglichen Möglichkeiten der Licht ausstrahlenden Glühbirne. Die natürlichen Sounds des Objekts verbindet er mit bearbeiteten Klängen und verwandelt damit digitale Prozesse in sichtbare physische Handlungen. Das Ergebnis ist eine Performance und ein Musikstück, in dem sich die Klänge der Glühbirne, digitale Sounds und das Licht miteinander verflechten.

Die Performance kommt ohne Sprache aus.

Longevity of Light Bulbs (and how to make them last longer) is an electroacoustic light performance for a human and a desk lamp.

L.O.L.B. fuses natural and processed sounds. The performer's hands explore all sonic possibilities of the light beaming object. The resulting sound palette is extended by an interactive system that connects physical motion to sound and light modulation.

The performance magnifies sound vibrations with physical movements, transforming imperceptible digital processes into visible performative actions.

The lamp is the only light source in the room. It moves, points, and shifts its gaze in different directions, behaving like a curious creature, illuminating different parts of the environment, scanning through the audience, sometimes blinding it.

The result is a performance and music piece in which natural and artificial tones fuse seamlessly, symbiotically intertwined with light. The composition unfolds over time, shaped by the movements of the performer and their instrument.
